Masters in Information and Communication Systems Engineering (ICSE)

The Programme of the of ICSE envisages to equip postgraduate ICT engineers with academic and professional competencies and innovative skills to develop new models or modify existing ones and develop/ modify communication systems that will be used by technologists to design new technologies, industrialists to find industrial solutions, policy makes to make decisions, design policies and plans and to exploit the vast amount of data for optimal gains.

Entry Requirements

(a)  Master’s by Coursework and Dissertation

  1. Possess a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or similar institution of higher learning with GPA of at least 3.0/5.0 or its equivalent from an accredited university of similar institution of higher learning in Mobile Computing, Wireless Networks; Software Engineering; Computer Science and Engineering; Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Telecommunications Engineering or related fields.
  2. In case of applicants with unclassified degree, The applicant should have at least an overall of “C” grade and an average of “B” grade in the relevant subjects or field of his/her specialization: Mobile Computing, Wireless Networks; Software Engineering; Computer Science and Engineering; Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Telecommunications Engineering or related fields.
  3. Possess advanced diploma in the related fields with postgraduate diploma in the same field with GPA of at least 4.0 as entry route to Master’s programme.
  4. The applicant may be expected to pass an entry assessment, which may take one of the following methods: (1) personal interview, (2) written assessment, (3) interview plus written assessment, or (4) assessment exemption (on justifiable grounds).

(b)  Master’s by Research and Thesis

  1. Possession of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or similar institution of higher learning with a GPA of at least 3.0/5.0 or its equivalent from an accredited university of similar institution of higher learning in Mobile Computing, Wireless Networks; Software Engineering; Computer Science and Engineering; Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering or related fields.
  2. The applicant should demonstrate ability to undertake research by either providing evidence of at least ONE year working experience in a research group/environment or at least ONE publication in an accredited peer-reviewed journal as the FIRST or SECOND author.
