Master of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Management (IEM)

It is expected that this program will synergize, facilitate, and enhance business administrators and managers, scientists, engineers, mathematicians, and innovators to address challenges with an attitude of inclusivity and give avenues for realizing Academia for Society and Industry to foster existing and emerging businesses, industries, and other innovation-oriented organizations.

Eligibility

Candidates to be admitted into the Master’s programme in IEM must have a good background in any of the following disciplines: business administration and management, entrepreneurship management, innovation management, natural science, engineering, and technologies, or a related area. 

Entry Requirements

(a) By Coursework and Dissertation

To be considered for admission into a Master of  Innovation and Entrepreneurship Management (IEM) by Coursework, the minimum entry requirements are:

  1. Possession of a second-class bachelor’s degree with at least a GPA of 3.0/5.0 or its equivalent in an appropriate area of study from an accredited university or similar institution of higher learning.

(b) By Research and Thesis

To be considered for admission into a Master’s programme by research and thesis, the minimum entry requirements are:

  1. Possession of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or similar institution of higher learning with a GPA of at least 3.5/5.0.
  2. Demonstrate the ability to undertake research by either providing evidence of at least one year of working experience in a research group or environment or at least one publication in an accredited peer-reviewed journal as the first or second author.
  3. Submission, along with application documents, is a concise, one-page concept note of what he or she wishes to research as part of the study in order to demonstrate his or her ability to organize thoughts in writing, logically and creatively.

English Proficiency 

Since English is the primary language of instruction, all applicants seeking admission to academic programs at NM-AIST must possess adequate knowledge of written and spoken English as a prerequisite for admission.

Candidates pursuing master degree by research and thesis at NM-AIST shall be required to take all common courses, present graduate seminars, develop research proposals and undertake research work before preparation of thesis.
