Experience & Activities

Elizabeth Mkoba (PhD) is a Lecturer in the School of Computational and Communication Science and Engineering at the Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology (NM-AIST) and recently, a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Johannesburg in South Africa. She has a PhD in Information Technology Management specialising in Information Technology Project Audit and Assurance. Her research areas include the Application of Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning in Project Management, Health and Agriculture Sector; AI Ethics; IT Project Audit and Assurance; IT Project Success; Cyber security; Adoption of Agile Practices to Project Management; Digital Transformation Strategy Development for both Public and Private Sector Organisations. Her focus is in writing research project proposals for funding, researching, developing tools, implementing and consulting on application Digital Technologies in solving socio-economic problems, application of AI in project management, health and agriculture sector as well as Ethics in AI, IT project audit and assurance to implement successful projects in companies/organisations. She is passionate about collaborative research, with involvement of key stakeholders in all research stages. This entails to involve the in problem identification, designing goals and approaches, planning, development of tools, evaluation and monitoring, and dissemination of research findings to stakeholders using various media
